I made these for our apple-themed Back to School Tea you can view here. We loved these and they are so simple and actually- believe it or not- vegan! I used my aunt’s recipe and tweaked it a little. These would also be wonderful for a special breakfast or lunch.
Preheat oven to 350. Unroll the crescent rolls on a waxed surface
Heavily grease 2 cookie sheets (we lightly greased and had to throw ours away because the marshmallow wouldn't come off) or glass casserole dish.
Place one or two mini marshmallows or 1/4 of a jumbo marshmallow on each segment.
Place a piece of apple on each segment and sprinkle cinnamon and a small amount of nutmeg on top
Close up the roll on all sides and place on cookie sheet or glass pan.
Pierce the top with a fork or knife to allow it to breathe.
Sprinkle coconut sugar and cinnamon on top.
Cook for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. (Ours exploded a little, but it still tasted good). We put ours in a cute vintage lunchbox to serve.
